There are passenger ferries from the town to Mevagissey and Polruan.
From Polruan the coastal path can be walked to the quaint village of Polperro discovering the peace and tranquility of the coves of Lantic, Lantivet and Lansallos on the way.
There is ample parking at Trehaida for boat owners. Boat lovers can launch their own boat locally at Penmarlem Quay, a few hundred yards away, for a standard fee, and cruise the river or on the open sea.
Other activities are horse riding, golf, boat and fishing trips from Fowey, Mevagissey or Looe.
